Hi Stcie, me again. I had to go to a GI Doc. The first visit was basically a consultation. He asked my history and other questions about my current symptoms. They want to know what you're experiencing. If he feels it is necessary he may set up a colonoscpy, just depends. Let us know how everything goes. It helped me to research online about colonoscopies and other practices. Good Luck

God bless! Stacie in VA
