Re: Bladder changes and very little spotting with cramps! From: Bev (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Apr 29 05:22:32 2005
Dear Stacie, I was diagnosed with endometriosis of the bladder in 1994. I had had symptoms for about 3 yrs when I finally got my GP to refer to the gynaecologist. The symptoms I had would begin a couple of days before my period and last until a couple of days after my period had ended. Each time I passed urine the pain was excruciating, I emptied my bladder ok but it felt like someone was twisting a knife inside me each time and in turn it would make the period pains twice as bad. I never spotted from my bladder though. I had eventually had surgery to remove a fifth of my bladder in March '94. I then went on to have two children naturally but about three years ago my problems began to return. In 2004 I had my right fallopian tube, ovary and appendix removed following 'endo', my bladder was left alone but my surgeon tells me the endo is there and is severe. I am now on zoladex and have been for just coming up to a year, have just started add-back therapy but I'm concerned about the long term issues with this but I've been told there are no other options for me right now. Hope I have been able to help you and that you get something sorted soon. GOOD LUCK. Please let me know if you have any advice for me. Thanks Bev Glynn
