renae,
i just had to have a full hysterectomy at 30. i was going through the same thing as you are or were. surgery at 15 made my parents aware of something wrong.my periods were the same as yours accept they were at times a long time even a year once. all i can say although the surgery was so damn scary i feel better. now though i feel depressed and wondering if i did the write thing. ( not even telling my spouse of 13 yrs this) all i can say is i dont hurt at all after the surgery and no periods hopefully will be worth it. its only been 3 weeks. endom. you will now as sexual interaction will be painful. periods are long and heavy. pray and you will make the decission est for you. god bless
