over-active uterus/spasmsFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Apr 19 18:24:49 2005
It has been a while since I have been on here. Everything has been pretty idle for a while. Last time on was just starting lupron and was so greatful for the questions and comments that others had re: lupron. No surprises with that treatment!!! Since then, have switched from the lupron to what has been my savior for the last 12 years, depo provera. Now, that doen't even work. Was told last year that I have a 'over-active uterus'. That my pain was from uterine muscle spasms and that my adhesions were minimal. Now I am on muscle relaxers b/c my uterus contracts causing what is essentially labor pains, including the back labor, which then causes more spasms. A cycle that doesn't stop until I take something. I was told last year that my options were lupron or hysterectomy. I cannot do the hysterectomy yet. I know that I am not emotionally ready and I will do it when I know that I can deal with it better than I know I would now. I am just so very tired of being in pain. Has anyone else out there ever had this happen to them or heard of it??!
