Hello, My name is Ashley and I am currently going to school to become an OB-GYN. I was diagnosed with endo about 3 mos ago. I was on continuous birth control that sems like forever and intil I was sick and tired of it and I wa having periods and bled through the bc. I had my surgery March fourth and I'm not sure if mine is completely gone. I will tell you the answer to your question though. Yes, endo does come back and it can come back when you are on bc. Endo is a very serious prob and it depends on how severe the endo and what person you are whether it comes back or not. I don't know the chances of it coming back, but I do know that bc is not THAT effective against endo coming back. I was put on the Lupron shot. This is a shot taken every month no more than 6 mos at a time. But, it is very costly. Another thing, i could suggest to you is that there is a endo clinic in Bend, Oregon that does an excellent job with endometriosis. I would take precautions and consult your doctor about this again. Be firm and don't let him try to talk you into shrubbing it off. If this is an endo reoccurance, it needs to be taken care immediately. If you have further questions, contact me. Good luck! Yopu'll be in my prayers! -ashley
