There a few things like a CA-125 blood test they could do that can give them a hint as to whether or not you may have endo, the CA-125 measures cancer antigenes that endo produces. What would make the doctor say that you may have endo? Do you have painful menstrual cycles, pain during intercourse, back pain, anything like this. Its good to hear your doctor is addressing this issue with you because a lot of doctors think women don't have a serious problem when they are having menstrual pain. My OLD DOCTOR told me I was too young to have endo and it turns out at 19 I have stage 4 endo which is the most severe. He didnt listen to my problems and it all could have been stopped before it got this bad. Make sure he runs a few more test before you have surgery. Its not a major surgery in generally it takes about an hour and once the anesthesia wears off you go home.
