Hi! I finally decided to change my treatment from Depo Provera to a birth control pill - and started researching the different types of pills. I'm currently experiencing acne, depression and weight gain due to the androgen potency in the depo. I"m looking for a pill that will help these side effects - but it looks like the ones that will, have a high estrogen level and low progestin level - which won't help the endometriosis. :-( Could anyone please tell me what type of pill they are on, and how it is working for their endo? I've been readign that these are good ones for endometriosis: Loestrin 1.5/30; Loestrin 1/20 Fe; LoOvral; Leveln; Levora; Nordette; demulen 1/35 and Zovia 1/35. Is anyone out there on the above mentioned types - and can tell me about their experience with it? (e.g. side effects; helpfulness w/ endo pain and cysts) Also, I noticed that Yasmin is recommended for acne, weight gain and severe cramping. Can anyone tell me about their experiences with Yasmin? Has it been helpful for your endo? (I havent' been able to find any research on it associated w/ endo) Lastly - is anyone on Ortho tri-cyclen lo? My GP wants to recommend it cuz of it's low estrogen levels - but I noticed it has 3 different levels of progestin - and am wondering how it will affect my endo. I'd love to hear about any experiences anyone has had with it. I feel like picking a type of BC pill is a big decision - and if I pick the wrong one it could make the endo worse - so any info you have, would be greatly appreciated.
