It doesn't sound silly at all. After being in pain for so long and not having answers, once you are diagnosed, you are actually happy. Just to finally know what you are dealing with is a relief. The surgery gives you some sort of hope that you can have a better quality of life that is hopefully pain free. My fingers will be crossed for you and my prayers with you.
