problem after being on ovcon

Hi. I have had endometriosis for over 6 years and I am getting my second laporoscopy done in the beginning of May. I have been on birth control pills continously for 2 years only getting my period every 5-6 months. In January, my doctor made me stop the birth control pills because he wanted them completely out of my system by the time he does the laparoscopy. I got my period in January along with a lot of pain, and I got my period 4 days late in February with a lot of pain. Now, I have not gotten my period yet and I am 12 days late. There is absolutely no chance I am pregnant, so I know for a fact it can not be that! Last thursday, I got very severe cramps but by friday they were gone. Now I am constantly having hot flashes and headaches, and have been feeling very bloated. I thought it was pretty weird for my period to be this late especially since this is already my 3rd month off the pill. When I talked to my doctor's receptionist on the phone about the date for my lap., I told her about it but so far I haven't heard back. Is this normal for being on birth control pills continously for so long? I'm sorry this is so long but I was just wondering if anyone has any insight for me.
