Hi Nikki! Unfortunately it sounds like it's time for the hysterectomy. I don't know how old you are, but the best advise I can give you is take the ovaries as well because you don't want to give them an excuse to go back in again. You've had enough surgery. Ask your doctor what he intends to do about hormone replacement and ask him also how he intends to assist you with pain control after the hysterectomy. My best advise is do not take Premarin but human estradoil (brand name is Estrace, but there are generics). I don't even know why doctors prescribe Premarin anymore because it isn't even like our estrogen. To be perfectly blunt, Premarin is from a pregnant mare (horse). You're going to want to take oral rather then patch simply because I have not found the patch reliable in giving you even flows of estrogen. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I've got lots more advise with regard to hysterectomy.
