Lupron seems so wrong...

From: Lori (anonymous@obgyn.net)

I'd really appreciate anyone's take on the costs and benefits of Lupron. I just had a lap and my endo seems pretty extensive. The surgeon couldn't get at what was "wrapped around my bowel" and so is strongly suggesting Lupron. I've heard so much terrible news about Lupron; it's scary. And my gut feeling tells me that my whole system just needs to go back to a natural balance, not recieve more drugs and drugs to counteract the side effects of those. I've been on and off bc fo years - could never find a good pill to fit me. I've also suffered depression and anxiety and for the first time in my life I recently accepted antidepressants for that, and I still hate the idea of Prozac although it has helped. Part of me wonders if the depression could be related to the endo - my doctor says no, but again, from a whole-body perspective I still feel like something is all "out of whack". I'm 26, and would like to have children, maybe at around 30 (I'm not married). Any thoughts - primarily on Lupron?

Thanks, Lori
