Well, as I'm VERY new to this problem (was only diagnosed last week) I'm not sure how much I can help, but I can tell you that I just had surgery on the 24th to remove a 4cm and 2- 2cm endometriomas from my ovaries. I also had extensive lesions and scar tissue. The surgeon was initially thinking she would have to remove most of my left ovary to get the bigger cyst but in the end was able to remove the cysts without hurting the ovaries. But even if you have one removed, the other will still work - really you only need a scrap of one ovary to keep everything working normally.

Incidentally, I tried seasonale before finding out about this problem, and just had no luck getting my body used to it. I just bled all the time. Obviously that and years of bcpills didn't prevent the endo. The doctor wants me to try Lupron and I'm petrified of the dangers of it (osteoperosis, aching joints, hot flashes). Did you have any negative reactions?
