HI- I think that you should ask for the Lap. That way you know what's going on and the Dr. can hopefully figure out how to help you. A lap isn't that bad, the recovery is about a week and I think it will give you piece of mind. I had a grat Dr. when I was younger who told me "even missing one day a month is a lot", so although you "only have pain 10 to 12 days" that's still alot. Wouldn't it be nice if you didn't? Or worst case scenerio you knew for sure why? I felt like a cry baby after my hyst. when I insisted on a lap in Feb. but I am so happy I did because they discovered my bowel was wrapped around my ovary! I had ultrasounds prior and they didn't know....so my advise to you is better safe than sorry. Take Care -
