Re: Was It Wrong to Ask? NEVER and more

I am continuing to struggle with pain but am no longer vomiting. I have
not ate a single item of food today and barely anything at all for the
past 6 days. The discharge/bleeding is also continuing. The on-call
doctor said if I wasn't getting worse or the bleeding increasing there
was no need to keep my upcoming appointment in the office this coming
week. It is hard to believe that "as long as I am not getting worse"
there is nothing to worry about. Worse, no I am not worse. But I can't
imagine that not being able to eat, having this pain and discharge means
nothing. I know that the best scenario is to use hormonal meds to try
and shrink the cyst but what happens when that isn't working. I can't
think that leaving a patient like this is right? That this is good
medicine. It seems more like a punishment of suffering. When is enough
and what is enough to step in and say this is important, and something
needs to be done to help this patient. I keep praying that things are
going to get better and trying to hand on to hope, but this is so
difficult. Even if I am blessed to get better tomorrow or the next day
I am still going to tell my doctor about what I went through and how
long things went on this way. I don't think she will think it is
insignificant that I was unable to eat and was hurting so much. But for
now I feel at the mercy of the system and the unfortunate position of
trying to get help on a long Easter weekend.
