Re: THE TRUTH BEHIND PAIN: A WOMAN WITH ENDO.From: amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Mar 20 21:58:18 2005
this is the first time I have written in to talk about my endo. reading this womans story makes me sad, but in a sick way makes me happy that I am not crazy, I have hurt since I was about 15, I have been to prob. 100 doctors, spent thousands of dollars on meds and natural things for my unbelieveable stomach ache, it just doesnt hurt sometimes but all of the time, its just that sometimes its not as bad as others, sex is no longer fun because it feels like my husband is stabbing me with a knife everytime. After years of tests they tell me I have crohns which pretty much sucks, they loaded me up with drugs that do not work and all it does is make me more upset that they cant fix it,they also pulled the whole "this is in your head crap" too. Well trying to make a long story short.two years ago my bellybutton opened up and my guts came pokeing through, talk about freaking you the hell out, well at the hosp. they said it was from my crohns and they did some wonderful tests on me like putting a tube in my ozing bellybutton while I was totally awake no drugs to numb anything, then put dye in there and took pictures for 20 mins, after all that they said we really dont know what that is!!! GREAT, I try to move on still hurting and now my bellybutton hurts too. Somebody told me they thought I may have endo. so I started reading about it and I have like every symptom. Well the doc says try to get preg. and it will fix it. sounds easy huh? well in Aug. I got pg. on my first try---when I start bleeding and have a miscarriage 6 weeks later, well lots of people have a miscarriage, so I try again, I get pg in dec. and the same thing happens AGAIN! Well I just had a lap. 5 days ago, the doc said I had endo pretty bad and she burned it all off. Please someone tell me this lap. will help the pain, well at least its not in my head.!!!!!
