Of course, they give pain killers after surgery (but I didn't even really need them). I was up and about right after surgery when I got home. You might be a little sore a few days after. A friend of mine just had her second laparoscopy and she was up and about the next day. Although, I do not recommend that - please check with your doctor first to see when you can be on your feet. Also, DO NOT LIFT ANYTHING! That is a big no-no. I lifted a little too soon after surgery - and it's not very comfortable.
