Re: About LaporoscopyFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Mar 5 14:50:07 2005
My very first was done for exploratory purposes..to see why I was having pain. I had 2 one inch incisions..one under my belly button and one around the line of pubic hair. They found endo on my left ovary. but only at stage 1, so they decided to leave it alone..I was closed up and given a diagnosis and medication (birth control then danazol) My second was done to remove what the doctor though was a cyst on my ovary. I had 3 incisions with this surgery. Turns out it was an endometrial tumor on my colon. No endo was seen at that time, but lots of scar tissue was removed. My third was a combo tubal ligation and exploratory. Nothing was found at that time. My fourth was exploratory. All ultrasounds were negative for cysts but I was still having pain. He did an open procedure since I had so many previous surgeries, which meant only 1 incision. He found my ovary adheared to my abdominal wall, a cyst on that same ovary, which burst during the removal process, an endometrial tumor in my cul-de-sac and endo scattered about in my abdomen that he burnt off. This surgery was quite painful compared to the others. But I am doing okay now..you should chekc out my site http://www.geocities.com/strawbury78/endo.html Hope you feel better soon...it really sucks to be in pain :(
