Make sure that if your daughter is on birth control pills continously,
that she doesn't drink or smoke. Smoking in itself causes bone loss.
Lupron has made me tired, irritable, and depressed and I wonder why I
have to trade one health problem for the possibility of something else.
I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis as the symptoms I have match
that disease, but in actuality I have endo. Make sure you and your
daughter know all the facts before you have her on anything. Even
constant birth control pills are not good for the woman body. I am only
22 and have been dealing with this since I was 12. It is miserable.
Educate yourself and your daughter. I have a website that I found to be
most insightful that gives you many different alternatives to severe
surgeries. Also, the only way to definitively diagnose endo. is to
have a laporoscopy done. The website is
http://www.gyndr.com/endometriosis.php. Let me know if this site helps you.
Good luck and keep us all up to date on your daughter.
