endo pains or adhesions

Hi ladies. I'm waiting for my docs office to call and schedule an appointment for a laparoscopy w/ a possible laparotomy w/ removal of my one ovary. I think it may have been overrun w/ endo, but I of course am not sure. I just put a tummy tuck on hold for this. I am so mad. It's been two days and his office still has not called. I realize they could be busy, but it's frustrating. Anyways, I had a hysterectomy almost 2 years ago, and I thought that was the end of it, but It's not. I guess my question is does anyone know what endo feels like? I get god-awful pains on my left side(by my ovary) and then the next day they are gone. Remember, I don't get periods anymore, so that isn't a symptom for me. But my right side will start hurting. It's a differn't pain though. The pain n my left side feels more like ovualtion pains. Could I be suffering from adhesion pain as well? Has anyone had ever had adhesions removed? My doc says I have lots of them. I'm worried he may go in, open me up and find nothing wrong with my ovary, but just scar tissue. I hope I'm not being too confusing. This is been on going for months. also, does anyone know if endo can grow in an area where there is no female organs? May be a dumb question, but I was wondering that. It is probably adhesiions casing my pain on the right side. But it's so bad sometimes, and I would hate to think I have to live the rest of my life w/ it! Thanks, any input would be great. Judy
