Hi there...

Fibroids are (non cancerous)smooth muscle tumors of the uterus. They can grow at different points of the uterus, They can grow on the outside on a stalk, in the muscle, or in the inside of the uterus. From what I know about them they are not a precurser to any kind of cancer, they just happen from estrogen growth and a few other things. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me offlist if you would like...I have a fibroid that is just being monitored right now, glad you had yours removed before It got too big.
