I recently came off seasonale after being on it for 6 months. Lots of breakthrough bleeding. My doctor said it is normal for someone who takescontinuous birth control pills to have breakthrough bleeding. He said from a medical stand point it is not an issue, it is more a quality of life issue. I went off of it because for many weeks at a time I would have the bleeding with cramping. It was recommended to go back on a month to month pill and get my period. He put me on LoEstrin which has little estrogen which fuels the fire for endo. He said we will take it month by month and if the pain gets worse he will reevaluate the situation. I was pleased with this and am trying it. All I can say is the breakthrough bleeding was annoying and an inconveinience. >
