Re: IVPFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Feb 10 14:40:47 2005
Hope, I also have endo on my ureters that wasn't removed by my first surgeon. Dr. Albee, who did my second surgery, removed it. I have also had 2 IVPs done for kidney stones. There is nothing to it. They just inject you with dye and take x-rays every 30 minutes or so to see how long it takes the dye to get to your kidneys, through your ureters, and into your bladder. I had a stone in my left ureter that was blocking the dye from getting to my bladder. The dye made it through my right kidney and ureter and into my bladder in under 30 minutes, but took over 9 hours to start getting through my left ureter into my bladder. I have very painful endo, had chronic appendicitis and gallbladder disease, and nothing compares to the pain of that stone!! God Bless!!
