Hi amber, My name is stacy and I was diagnosed with endo back in feb of 04 I've been on plenty of meds for this and other things for birth control. I was on the depo shot for a year and I didn't think it was that bad Until I got off of it. I had my period for 4 months everyday I was dealing with cramps like it was the very first day of my mentral cycle. I did infact gain weight. Don't make your decision based on what you read. Some would agree others would disagree. But you can't base what your experience is gonna be like from what others have gone through. Your body will react in it's own way to anything. My experience wasn't bad, just the after affects with it. So just try it and see what you think. You can always stop it if infact you don't like it. Just try it it might help. I happen to like the patch. They say alot of horrible things about that but it worked best for me. That was before the endo started then it didn't help for the pain. But it's not something you have to remember to take everyday just once a week and your periods will become regular if there not now. It will come at the same time every month. But thats just my advice, like I said try and it and you can stop it at anytime if you decide you don't like it. good luck keep intouch with this board everyone here is pretty helpful. - stacy
