Re: Ovary pain but no visible cystsFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jan 27 19:28:25 2005
I had a kidney stone, and I also have endo. And I can tell you from my experience that yes, kidney stones do like that. They cause pain every time they move. The pain is blinding. Mine caused pain every 3 months or so for a year, and then got more and more frequent until I went to the er and was finally diagnosed with a kidney stone stuck in my ureter. I had surgery to remove it later that week (I was in the hospital hooked up to IV painkillers for the whole week and a day after the surgery). If you went to the er and had blood in your urine, did they do an IVP to check for kidney stones? If not, go to your regular doctor and request an IVP to see if you do have stones. If you do, you have found the source of your pain. If you don't, then your doctor needs to keep investigating until the source is found. God Bless!!
>Hi, I need help. I have had pain in my right ovary for along time. It used to come on about every 3 to 6 months. It would cripple me, I would have to lay on the floor and cry and roll around until the pain stopped it iwll last from 15 to 45 minutes, and usually is so bad that I throw up. The episodes have been coming almost monthly now. And I can always tell when one is coming because about 2 weeks before I start my period I ahve terible night sweats. The ones where I have to change my close 2 or 3 times in a night and feel drained all day the next day. About 3 days or so before my period is over I usually have these attacks, they are herrific and causing my world to stop for those minutes, maybe it does not seem like a long time but when you are in that much pain on the floor crying it seems like an eternity. I have had 3 ultra sounds, they said a couple cysts, or maybe I have cysts rupturing. I have gone to the er the last time this happened and they said I had blood in my urine, I know this may be true but now they are rtrying to say kidney stones and to that I say, Once a month and only on my period, WHAT? It just does not make sense to me. I am affraid that I have ovarian cancer and they are just not looking at the right thing. To have this much pain I would just feel more confident if they could just figure it out. I am scared. Has any one out there had these same symptoms? Please help me!! Any thoughts or advice would be so helpful!! Thank You!!
