Re: Endo and first Lapro at 38From: Stacy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jan 26 08:23:28 2005
>From your description, I would think you have endo in the cul-de-sac, which is a common place for endo to be found, but a bit tricky for doc to remove. You need to make sure your doctor is skilled enough with lap surgery that he can and will remove all endo, no matter where it's located. I was put on lupron after my first lap, and it is not an experience I would wish on my worst enemy. No, it didn't help, as a matter of fact, my endo got worse while on Lupron. Some women do have good results from taking Lupron, but they are usually the same ones who have had success using birth control pills, and their endo is not to such an advanced stage as mine was. It is my opinion that doc put me on lupron only because he wasn't able and did not even attempt to remove all my endo. If I were you, I'd seek a second opinion from a doc a little more confident in his ability to remove/excize all the endo. Good luck!!
