The first thing you need to do is locate a replacement gynecologist, preferably one with excellent surgical skills. The easiest way to do that is by search the Find a Physician feature at the AAGL website - they are the top organization of gynecological surgeons in the US. http://www.aagl.com

Then, once you've located a gynecological surgeon you need to have him or her request your medical records from this first doctor and have a consultation with the new doctor about what was done and what you diagnosis is.

Adhesions can form from a variety of reasons. Any abdominal surgery for any reason is the most common cause for them. This includes appendectomy.

You may want to check the information on adhesions found here: http://www.obgyn.net/adhesions.asp

Good luck and hope this helps!
