Re: Weight gain with SeasonaleFrom: Marcie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Jan 25 09:00:34 2005
In response to those expressing weight gain concerns while taking SEASONALE. I've been on birth control since 1999. I was first on Aleese, then on a generic, then on Orthotricycline lo. My doctor recently switched me to SEASONALE. I've never had any problems with any oral contraceptive in the past. I've been on the SEASONALE for 9 days now. I'm eating well (I journal food because of past weight issues) and I'm gaining 1/2 a pound per DAY! I work in the medical profession and I've always insisted that weight gain as a result of birth control was a direct result of appetite and increased food consumption not directly due to the pill. I'm eating my words now, though. I'm very concerned that my food intake is down and my exercise is up, but that the weight is coming on so quickly.
