Re: can anyone relate?From: Stacy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Jan 24 09:55:31 2005
There is a story in one of Ina May Gaskin's books about a woman with two uteri who had normal pregnancies and natural childbirth, even after her doctors told her it wouldn't happen. I think it was in Spiritual Midwifery, but it might have been Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. Either or both of those books would be a good idea to read if you do plan on having children someday, anyway. Pain one month after a lap is pretty much normal. It always takes me about seven months to completely heal internally after surgery. But, if there was more endo in there that doc did not remove, the surgery was worthless (in my opinion). Adhesions can start to form immediately after surgery. Two things can make adhesions more likely, one is if the endo were not totally removed. The other is if you overdid things too soon after surgery. I personally would not take the pills. I am not familiar with that brand, but if it contains estrogen, it could make your endo worse (different women have different luck with bcps though). The discharge is probably break-through bleeding, and is normal even when on continuous bcp.
