I posted a couple of weeks ago about long term use of Lupron. I have not heard anything from anyone and was wondering if I'm the only one out there who has used Lupron Long term. I was on Lupron for 5 years without stopping. This was my second round of Lupron in a 12 year battle with endo. 5 years ago I started Lupron for the second time and it is the only med that worked for me. The first time I was on Lupron (right after I was diagnosed 1993) the side effects were horrible. After going on and off numerous meds my dr. wanted to start it again in 1999. This time I took ad-back therpy too. I had no side effects and had NO PAIN for the entire time. I had found my wonder drug. I have only gone off it now due to insurance change and possibly wanting to start a family. I know Lupron is not for everyone, but for me it is the only thing that worked. I am curious if anyone knows how long it takes for your body to get back to "normal" after long term use. Maybe it never will. Any information anyone has would be wonderful. My doctor has never had a patient on Lupron so long so he can't really give me any answers. He has asked other doctors, but they don't keep patients on it long term. Thank you for any information--
