Re: Anyone had lupron and it didn't help the endo? Yasmin? From: Laura (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jan 19 14:52:13 2005
I just finished three months of Lupron therapy. I managed to get the majority of side effects that they warn you about, but the final injection did not take, my period returned during therapy and it was discovered that my endo returned as well....5 months after surgery. My specialist told me sometimes it just doesn't matter what you do, so I have chosen to switch to Depro Provera ...practically no side effects. Hopefully it will keep my endo under control until the next surgery or if I chose to have a child. On a side note, years ago I was on Depro Provera and my doctor told me it was that choice that probably helped keep my endo under control for so many years. It was a 1-1/2 years after initially stopping Depro that my severe endo was discovered.
