To Melissa, please post the transcripts!From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Jan 17 13:43:40 2005
Melissa, I have been thinking about it, and I think that you should post your husband's transcripts. I would really like to see the proof you have about stage 5 endo. Also, I would like to know where you got the information that you have more pain because your stage is higher. I am not trying to be rude, I would really like to see it. You seem to be absolute in your convictions that there is a stage 5 and that the higher the stage, the more the pain. I think that you deserve an opportunity to show us your proof. Oh, and I am not a doctor. I have had endo for 15 years and am under the care of Dr. Albee at the center for endo in Atlanta. He is an endo specialist. Endo is all he does, and all he has done for over 25 years. However, you may find it interesting that my original obgyn didn't think that I had endo. In fact, he said that my symptoms would "go away as I got older." After six years of chronic pain, he finally decided to do a lap to "rule out" endo. He was "100%" certain that I "did NOT have endo." I was "too young" to have it. But, when he opened me up, I had stage 4. And he left most of it in me because he wasn't skilled enough to remove it without killing me. Point being, even doctors can be wrong, especially when endo is not the only thing they do. As you said, I believe, in an earlier post, it is our responsibility to educate ourselves. But we also need to make sure we are educating ourselves with the whole truth and nothing but the truth. God Bless
