Re: can anyone help me?From: Tawnia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Jan 7 20:54:29 2005
Hey Felicity I know how you feel. Luckily I live in canada and have medicare. I was diagnosed with endo at 16 and now 7yrs later I still suffer. The pain killers won't solve the problem, if you can find some way to get to a gyno or doctor asap you need to go through a diagnostic what most of us the forum know as a lap. (laporoscopy) It's not a major surgery and at least after the surgery you might have a bit of relief for a while....but you NEED to see a dr as soon as you can. Believe me when I say that the longer you wait the worse it will get and more chances of it progressing if it is endo. I've learnt the hard way, I've now waited another 5 yrs before seeking additional treatment because I couldn't find any dr's where I live that specialized in endo. Just please don't wait no matter what is going on you need treatment.
