hi...I am a nursing student...so I am in no way an expert. but from what I have learned in my classes (anatomy and phys, biophys, and pathophys) menstral blood is suppose to be about 90 percent water...therefore any amount of clotting is abnormal, and should be discussed with your doctor. I too have huge clots...and my dr doesn't seem to care. she writes it in my chart, but doesn't comment about it further. I continue to tell her no matter what...so I will keep it up so I know it is in my chart that I have these clots...persistant patients make the best patients. I have earned a lot of respect from my dr becaue I am a persistant patient. she now listens to me and takes action if I know a particular medicine isn't working...I have learned in life, that if you are persistant and passionate in all you do, you will be noted for that. good luck in your health.
