Hi Dana. Read my post from a few days ago on Proctalgia Fugax. You could be experiencing the same thing I've suffered with for years. Problem was, a diagnosis of my problem eluded me for years even though I went through scads of tests. It scared me to death thinking it could be something bad wrong. Read the description, and if it sounds like you, try typing that into your search engine. Everything I've read about it describes my problem to a T. It's also referred to as Levator Syndrome. It was just a kind of embarrassing thing to ask other people if they'd ever felt, and every doctor I've ever asked about it just looked at me like I was from another planet.
