Feeling desperate. Any help would be great.

Since the weekend, I have been having trouble sleeping because of pain and what I call "disturbance" (not quite pain, not quite anything else). It started on day 16 of my cycle. Last night was the worst yet. I am exhausted, stressed and out of ideas. I can and do get pain at this time of the month but it's usually controllable. I am concerned because the really bad pain of my period is still to come.

I am concerned about my painkiller - ibuprofen. I have been taking it but trying not to take too much because I don't want to take so much that I can't take any more when my period comes. But in the mean time, I am so exhausted from lack of sleep!!!!! I have to take something to help the pain settle enough to allow me to sleep.

So...I have a few questions...

Does anyone have any ideas of what else I can do? Does anyone take just tylenol for their pain? Is there any other painkiller anyone can recommend?

Oh, yeah, and I think the problem was caused by progesterone cream. I took it for about a week before this started happening and I also developed a rash on the spots where I had put the cream (I don't think the rash is related to the pelvic pain). I should say too that I feel PMSy to the nth degree. That might be part of my sleep problem. Progesterone seems to interfere with my sleep. I just didn't know that it could cause MORE pain.

I appreciate you listening. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
