It's been 9 days since my hysterectomy. I feel like there's a gaping wound where they just ripped my ovary out! Has anyone ever felt this? I also feel like I'm comming down with a cold and it's impossible to cough. Does anyone know how long this excrusiating soreness lasts? I'm trying to wean off the pain meds but the pain is horrible. It's no wonder I feel as though I can't live without my pain killers. Every time I go to the bathroom I feel as though I have to teach my body parts to work again. It's like they forgot. I'm getting tired of this recovery, I just want my life back!!!! It feels good to vent. If anyone has gone through this experience please respond. I had 2 surgerys and I'm not sure if this is why I'm this sore or not. I could really use some info on someone who's gone through this experience. I'm usually good about handling pain but not this time. I see my doc Thursday and I'm gonna mention this problem. I feel like it's not normal and that it's just me. Maybe I'm just a whimp. I know I can't stand all the down time. Tracy
