7 days after double surgery

I am on my 7th day after my double hysterectomy. See previous posts if you don't understand what I mean. I hurt myself this morning. I heard the alarm go off and jumped up in extreme pain. I decided not to set the alarm anymore and instead have someone else wake me up. I was hoping I would NOT bleed internally again. Besides that I feel good. Still sore a little and the bruising is still comming in. I got my staples out yesterday. That was a relief. I only had 18 not 38. I don't know what I was thinking when I first counted them. The recovery is not as bad as I thought it would be. I feel as though I can do my normal stuff but I know I have limits. I just don't want to go back to the hospital. If I went a 3rd time, I'm sure they'd never let me out. I must say that the side where my ovary was removed is the most painful so there is a difference between recovery time on different types of hysterectomy's. It feels like my ovary was ripped out. In my case this could be from the trauma that was caused there when I threw up. I feel that no amount of pain can be as bad as the night I went to the ER. After that night I think I can handle just about anything. I'm writing this to the women who have been following me through my ordeal in hopes that it may help some of you some day. At least I hope it does because it's alot to type. It makes me feel better to share my experiences too. If you can't follow my post go back and start at the beginning (approx. Dec 13th). I'll keep posting as I recover. Thanks for all you girls who have supported me! Tracy
