I am new to the board. I am a 30 yr old female I was diagnosed in 2001 with endo. I really could use some advice. Last week i went to the ER for pelvic pain. They did a ultrasound which reveiled a 4cm cyst which is similar to endometrioma cyst alst thickening of my uterus. They told me i would have to have surgery to confirm the diagnosis. I went to by OB on Thursday i seen the nurse cuz the Dr. was busy- she said that the Dr. confirmed that they needed to do a scope and they would call me Fri. with the Date and Time. Guess what? They didn't call. So I called yesterday morning and could'nt belive what i was told. The nurse said after reviewing my file the Dr. would like to take a different approach. BIRTH CONTROL PILLS OR LUPRON!!! I was very upset. I told them i do not feel comfortable with this. They don't even know what they are treating. Maybe i'm overreacting. If someone could please give me advice on what to do. They said the Dr. would call me today to let me know if she will do the surgery anyway- even though she feels i do not need it right now. AHAHAH i am just so frustrated. Thanks for listening!!!
