called my gyn about the rectal bleedingFrom: holly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Dec 12 11:02:57 2004
i wasn't really worried about the stuff because it always happened with my periods. and it was never a whole lot. just a drop or so. but thursday night, i had way more than normal. and it scared the crap out me (bad analogy). so i saw the doc thinking it might be a hemorroid (kind of hoping it would be something simple like that). well, it's not a hemorroid. he doesn't know what it is. i asked if it's another way endo just affects people. he said maybe, but he wants me to see a gi doc to make sure it's not something else. most likely it's harmless, but he wants to make sure. so i guess rectal bleeding even with your periods could be a concern. i'm glad it's not a hemorroid, but i'm a little bummed i don't know what it is. if it's endo causing this, i can deal with that because i know it's just annoying. it's the other stuff it could be that kind of worries me. but i think it's got to be related to hormones because it only happens the day before my periods. and after i finished lupron, i didn't have it happen for almost a year. it will be interesting to see if being on yasmin now (started it thursday) will affect the bleeding.
