She will be visiting her ob-gyn soon but we'd like to understand some possibilities in the meantime. She has, for a few years, experienced pain during and just after intercourse that involves any deep penetration. The pain has increased to a point of severity lately and is described as "a very sharp pain centered just below her navel which includes a bit of cramping and a bloated feeling" The pain seems to dissipate after 1/2 hour. The only comparable sensation shes experienced was during a 1st tri abortion 7 years ago, which makes us both worry about potential damage received during that procedure. Understanding that there are many possible issues here, we would still appreciate some assistance in "narrowing the field" asap. Thanks very much in advance.
