Re: Lupron and weight gain

Hi Stormy,

I gained 15 lbs while on Lupron (I am still on it). I also complained to my dr. about it, but he said that wasn't a side effect of the lupron, but of the aygestin which I was taking for addback therapy. I am now on prempro instead, but I still haven't lost the weight, but I guess the positive part is that I haven't gained anymore either.

I've been eating right and exercising and still not having any luck. I think it has to be the lupron and perhaps the only reason I haven't gained is because I've been exercising more - but still can't shake the pounds!

It's bad enough we have to have this illness and be in college (I'm in grad school) and on top of that, we have to gain weight too! I guess I'd rather be a bit chubby than be in pain. Is the lupron helping your pain?
