Re: Is this endo related?

There a lot of things that can cause painful intercourse, endo is certainly one of them but so is bacterial vaginosis which is NOT an STD, I call it a 'yeast infection on a power trip'. Also vulvodynia, scar tissue or polyps in the vagina and cervical region, adhesions in the lower abdomen which are an unfortunate and not completely avoidable after-effect of any abdominal surgery no matter how careful your surgeon is.

There are a lot of nerve and muscle tissue in there that can be inflamed and soft-tissue injury takes a loooooooong time to heal fully. You should see your doctor to try to find out what's going on. A thorough and careful pelvic exam can sometimes pinpoint the cause and lead to a solution if it's something like bacterial vaginosis. Polyps can be removed via hysteroscopy(less painful recovery than a laparoscopy as there's no gas required).

Good luck!
