Hi Melody,

It sure does sound like Endo, and the only way to diagnose and have it removed is by having the lap done. It doesn't sound like your doctor is "johnny on the spot" for treating you, are you happy with her? Do you have any idea of when you are supposed to have the lap? I had my first one done by my OBGYN and he said I didn't have endo. My pain continued so I did an internet search for "endometriosis specialist" and added my city and state. I found a website for an infertility clinic and went and saw the doctor there. He ended up doing a 2nd lap 4 months after the first one and I did have endo. I would definitely recommend having one done by someone who very frequently deals with endo, if not specializes in it. My insurance doesn't cover infertility services but since he was treating endo and not infertility, most of it was covered.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you get your lap soon!! I would also recommend a pain management clinic. Even though it has been almost 2 months since my lap, I am still in almost the same amount of pain. I am told that it can take several months to see the results of the lap so I am taking long term pain medication until then.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Take care, Angie
