'paps, colposcopies, biopsies, ultrasound, blood work, all normal...but i'm not 'normal'From: melody (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Nov 28 20:53:58 2004
Hi everyone, I've been reading for quite awhile, but this is my first post. During the past year I've started having many of the same symptoms that I've read on here. Jan. 04 started noticing achy and crampy feeling after intercourse (been married almost 20 years). For next couple of months had bad discharge...was told it was bacterial infection. May 1 had horrible pain in lower right side..dr. said probably cyst ruptured..but no big deal. Then in June started bleeding (spotting) seven or more days before period started. July to August started having pain "during" intercourse. Each month it keeps getting worse. Had colpo and endometrial biopsy in August due to bad pap. The exam hurt so bad. Had ultrasound early Nov. Having a full bladder was just about the most painful thing I've experienced in long time. Pain in back was horrible. Had another pap on Nov 9..having the speculum (or whatever it's called) inserted was so painful. Cervix bled as soon as touched. Dr. did another colpo on Nov 18 to biopsy the spot that wanted to bleed..was still bleeding. Anyway, the exam on the 18 was the worse yet. I was nearly in tears during the whole time. Shouldn't that much pain be a "clue" to a dr that something is wrong? Anyway, she is suppose to refer to one of her partners to do a lap. Sorry to be so long...just wanted to get some ideas. I have terrible back pain a few days before my period. The past couple of months I've had it at other times too. Also, during the time that I'm spotting before my period, when I strain with a bm I have vaginal bleeding worse. I can deal with irregular bleeding, and back pain, but I can't deal with pain of intercourse...I've got to find out what is causing this. Thanks for reading.
