Re: blood in stool and anal bleeding--VERY scaredFrom: Karen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Nov 28 11:14:53 2004
I would tell your doctor about this new problem you're experiencing. He will most likely send you for a colonoscopy or a barium enema to have this examined. I've been diagnosed with endo in my bowel. I had a colonoscopy to confirm this diagnosis as well as a biopsy of the suspected area which came back positive for endometrial tissue in the rectosigmoid portion of my bowel. My symtoms started with loose bowel movements around that time of the month and then I would have a constant pressure down there like I have to go for a bowel movement only to pass a clear and odorless mucous. Eventually, over the course of afew months, the mucous I was passing starting having tints of blood in it. Now whenever it is that time of the month I am having rectal bleeding and most recently passed what I thought was a bowel movement only to find it was a blood clot. The bleeding usually last for a couple days and then gradually stops. During this time I experience severe lower pelvic and rectal pain and have a constant ache and pressure down there. Definately mention it to your doctor and get it checked out.
