endo, tumors and needing helpFrom: Rose (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Nov 23 18:32:49 2004
i recently when for my yearly check up. My doc found my uterus grossing enlarged and mishaped. We done blood work up biopsy of uterus, and vaginal ultra sound. Finding are endo, large semi-solid tumors on right ovary. My doc stated unless the biopsy came back positive he would not push me to do anything to lessen my pain, heavy bleeding, etc. He stated some women would have a hytorectmy but would leave it up to me. I requested to have surgery but instead the nurse called and said the biopsy was negative and they would not need to see me again unless I had ANY PROBLEMS! I am very concerned about the tumors and the bleeding and pain is sometimes more than I can bear. Should I be worried about the tumors? They were not there last year and my doc was very concerned about their fast growth and said we would need to keep a close eye on them. I am 46 years old, my family raised and have a strong family history of cancers.
