Hi Ann I hav stage I endo. Alot of people believe that if you are in advanced stages you will not be able to concieve. Nothing could be farther from the truth. My mom had Stage 4 and went on to have me and my 2 sibilings.(W\o fertility treatment) It's true you might have to go through fertility drugs. (I am now). There is no "fix" or cure for endo. You can relive your pains with many different methods. Mind over matter is how I look at it. And I know that sometimes that seems unreasonable but that's why people meditate. How old are you and when did you have your lap? Some dr.'s take pic's during the procedure for you to look at. Maybe your doc did and she forgot to mention it.(Doubtful thought)If you don't feel comfortable with your doc and she confuses you ask her to explain it better or ask the nurse if she can help. If either of them make a deal out of it move on to a better doc. Anyway here is what the stages of endo are based primarily on: Color (can range any where from a clearish white to coffee black; the darker the worse) and where is it on your body. If you need anyone to talk to let me know, and email me anytime. Amanda
