Re: Weight gain with Seasonale

Stacie, I've been on continuous birth control pills since I was diagnosed in March of 2001. I've been on a few different pills, and have been on Alesse now for over a year. Even with such a low-estrogen pill, I also continue to gain weight. I weigh 12 pounds more than I did at my second lap two years ago. Last week I had my annual exam, and I expressed concern over this weight gain, and she doesn't seem to think (on any level) that the pill is causing this. I eat very well, began running a month ago, and I still feel like a cow. My bra size has increased after wearing the same size since 8th grade. I'm to the point where I want this all to stop! I'm getting married next September, and I'm stopping my pills in April. We're going to start trying for a baby right after we're married. After 4 years of this, I need and deserve a break.

Stacie, I'm curious to know, why are you taking two pills per day? Are you have significant breakthrough bleeding?
