Re: Lasor or cutting out endo?

Yes, I have heard numerous times that cutting the endo out is better than laser. Pretty much every endometriosis specialist does it this way. It is called sharp disection. When I had my first appointment with Dr. Harry Reich, he told me that first of all the laser burns and cooks your organs and causes more scar tissue. He also said that the laser only burns the surface of the endometriosis, leaving the roots, which then grow back with a vengence. This must have happened to me because after my first surgery (using laser), the endometriosis came back worse than ever!! I have read numerous stories from women who have had the sharp disection and they have had years of pain relief. I had surgery with sharp disection recently and so far, no pain from endo. I haven't even taken one Advil during my period. And I had stage IV endo. I hope this helps.
