Taking Seasonale for Endo & Having Problems!! Help!From: Angela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Oct 14 08:56:19 2004
I started taking Seasonale about a month and a half ago. My Gyno and I have been trying to do various things to ease my Endo pain...finally quit smoking so I can take the pill again. The first week wasn't too bad. Then I started having cramps - low abdomen - where the ovaries are...every day, it lasts about 10 minutes and repeats a few times per day. I went back and talked to her about this. She said "oh its just where your body thought it was about to have a period and isn't now. It's right around that time of the cycle". Well, it has been continuing since then -I'm now into the 2nd month's pack. I just started the spotting last week. That's not too big of a deal. The other thing is depression, mood swings. I cry at the drop of a hat. Everything feels like it's so much worse than it is. I feel like I am freaking out. My job is very stressful and I know that's part of it, but since I started taking Seasonale, I've been a depressed zombie. I have no desire to clean, cook, enjoy life, etc. I am not sure if it is this drug or just my job. Has anyone else had these symptoms?? The doc gave me a scrip for Bextra - an anti inflamatory to ward off the cramps. I haven't gone to get it yet. I think it won't help. Wonder if I should just go back and tell her I want off these, and on Ortho Tri Cyclen or something??? I won't take Provera. She wanted me to take it in high doses, in pill form but NO way, after I read all the side effects. I am about to give in and just have a hysterectomy!!! Help!
